A party to celebrate their move. Well this is more than just a move. R&R Partners renovated an old produce warehouse - a space that had been vacant for a very long time - into the most amazing offices I have seen in quite a while. They were able to leave some beautiful original architectural details in place (reinforced and repaired) such as the old freight elevators, the roof, brick walls, flooring, etc. They did such an amazing job of keeping the details that make the building so special while adding in modern elements - combing to make the space incredible. The event was held outside adjacent to their building. The parking lot was converted into a downtown event space complete with ping pong tables, the Rocket from Fox Restaurant Group (I finally was able to see this traveling pizza oven in action, I drive by it everyday parked in front of The Henry on Cambelback), outdoor bars, delicious passed bruschetta from the Duce, a live band and of course the best photo booth in Phoenix! Angelic Grove designed the event, from the hand colored coasters to the gorgeous succulent flowers on every cocktail table, the event was a huge hit.

The highlight of the night was R&R arranging the descendants of the original owner of the produce warehouse to be part of the event. The grandson (93 years young) of the original owner was there to speak on behalf of his family. I learned quite a bit about this very successful Chinese immigrant and his effect on not only the early Chinese community in Phoenix but on the downtown area as well. A truly remarkable story.

What more can I say, a great warehouse party in Downtown Phoenix with some pretty amazing vendors.  Councilwoman Gallego is excited about the transformation and we can easily see that area of downtown coming to life.  Yay!!!
